Down Memory Lane

Since I am about to embark a busy week, I decided to devote today as the day as my first ever Down Memory Lane post where I post a memory I have where I first found an unforgettable book.

One day I went to the bookstore looking for a happy, easy read after reading the dark survival tale of Oblivion Road by Alex McAulay. I searched  the bookshelves for a realistic fiction romance. My eyes caught onto a bright beautiful cover, look at it, of a girl and a boy. My eyes then wandered to read the synopsis. Ah, a girl in love, dealing with confrontations and heartache. A perfect relaxing read. When I left the bookstore that day, I had no idea I pick up a vampire love story. I knew by reading the first page though.

What is your favorite book memory?

  1. Ella Enchanted by Gail Carson Levine. My paperback had to replaced three times because of how much I love the book. It was one of the first books that got me addicted to reading. It was in middle school and I just wanted to read a fairy tale. I bought if from the Scholastic newsletter that the school hands out and I was hooked! How could I not love this spunky take on the classic Cinderella fairy tale? Ever since then, I've been a total addict to retellings of fairy tales :)
